Our Vision
Over the past year, a massive number of new game developers have created thousands of games for the iPhone and iPod Touch platform. The vast majority of these games are single-player games and most have no ability to share high score results with friends or other players.
There are a number of reasons for this situation:
- An Internet-based multi-player game requires server infrastructure running 24x7 to facilitate player match-making.
- Online score and rank tracking requires a significant web presense - user accounts, a website to display score data, and secure transmission of score data from game to server.
- "Joining" two or more players together over the Internet so their games can communicate peer-to-peer is quite difficult due to the complications imposed by different firewall technologies (most devices will reside behind a firewall for security purposes).
A developer will incur significant costs trying to build the technology and server infrastructure required to support Internet based multi-player gaming. The economics of application distribution and growing competition make it difficult for any single developer to afford to build, deploy, and maintain such a service.
We have the solution.
